Rakta Charitra is a forthcoming trilingual Indian film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma, made simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages. As the entire film is said to last for about 5 hours, the film will be divided into two parts, which will be releasing within three months gap.
Rakta Charitra is said to depict the life of the slain political leader Paritala Ravindra, played by Vivek Oberoi, with Surya , enacting the role of Maddelacheruvu Suri, Shatrughan Sinha, playing N. T. Rama Rao, Radhika Apte and Priyamani in other pivotal roles.

Surya is in Mumbai this week to shoot for his Hindi debut in Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakta Charitra He is excited about this venture and is quite fond of the city life and its food. Surya admits his Hindi isn’t quite what Bollywood requires. “I’ve an assistant with me to help me with my Hindi dialogue. Ramu sir has assured me I don’t need to worry about my dialogue. I like to say my own lines on screen without prompting or someone else dubbing for me. I’ve to see how my Hindi goes. I did have a teacher in Chennai but that bookish Hindi won’t work in Hindi films.”
Soft-spoken and very focused on his career Surya doesn’t see Rakta Charitra as a new beginning. “I took up this offer because I respect Ramu sir and the way he attempts new kind of cinema each time regardless of failure or success. He’s got plenty of innovative ideas. I love Rangeela and Sarkar. We’ve been friends for 4-5 years. When he narrated this script to me I thought I must be part of this project. Also there will be a Tamil and Telugu version of the film. So I thought I’d get a chance to simultaneously be on home ground and try something new.”

Surya’s most expected movie ‘Singam’ shooting has been completed fully. Recently Surya and Anuksha along with crew members has flown to the exotic locations of Dubai along with choreographer Brindha to shot for a song.
As per source the movie dubbing works have already started herein Chennai and will be completed within couple of weeks.
Singam is being produced by Studio Green Productions Gnanavel Raja, uncle of Surya. Prakash Raj does the villian role in the movie and Vivek takes care of the comedy. Devi Sri Prasad has scored music for the film.
Singam is one of the most expected movies of 2010 since Surya is back after hat trick of Box office hits with Vaaranam Aayiram, Ayan and Aadhavan.
Singam will hit the screens in the month of April and it will be the big summer release of Kollywood.

Actress Priyamani has been signed by Ram Gopal Varma to play heroine opposite Surya in his film bilingual Raktha Charithra. The film reportedly will be shot in three different languages Hindi, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
Rakta Charitra film is about the bloody faction fights in Cuddaph region of Andhra, which saw the rise of real life gangsters like Paritala Ravi and Maddelachervu Suri, who later became politicians. Paritala Ravi is being played by Vivek Oberoi and Suri by Suriya, while Priyamani will play the role of his wife Gangula Bhanumati.

Sachin Tendulkar became the first batsman ever to to score a double century in One Day Internationals. Sachin achieved this feat in the second one-dayer against South Africa in Gwalior on Wednesday, by scoring 200 not out off just 147 balls as India scored 401-3 in 50 overs.

Sachin’s previous best was an unbeaten 186 against New Zealand at Hyderabad, in 1999. Tendulkar, who registered his 46th ODI century in the process, got to 200 with a single off Charl Langeveldt in the final over of the game, having earlier broken the World record for the highest individual innings, of 194, jointly held by Pakistan’s Saeed Anwar and Zimbabwe’s Charles Coventry.
