Actor Surya won the Best Actor award at the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards 2008 for South which was given away at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on Friday night (July 31st) at a glittering function. Surya won the award for his performance in the much acclaimed movie Vaaranam Aayiram. Recently the actor also wont the Best Actor award at Univercell Vijay Awards 2008.
