Surya’s Ayan is the biggest Box Office blockbuster hit of the year 2009. The movie is said to have made a profit of more than 15 Crores!. Ayan is the biggest hit in Surya’s carrier untill now.
Directed by K.V Anand Ayan featured Surya and Tamanna in lead roles and the movie was a perfect time-pass entertainer. With Suriya and Tamanna chemistry, with chart busters song from Harris Jayaraj, with lots lots of action and humor in it, the movie turned out to be the biggest Box office hit of the year 2009.

Surya’s Ayan movie has successfully completed 75 days.Ayan was released on April 3rd and the movie went on to become Suriya’s biggest hit of his career. Surya’s Ayan has broken records in Mumbai, the heartland of Bollywood!. Ayan directed by K.V Anand has already become a super hit of the summer in Tamil Nadu and now it’s breaking records in Mumbai. The movie has completed 50 days and still going strong in Mumbai. Ayan has became the third highest grossing Tamil film after Sivaji and Dasavatharam, and still continues to be hot at Mumbai box-office.
“We are amazed by Suriya’s box-office pull, especially among the youth and lady audiences. In recent time no regional film has done so well in the Mumbai territory as Ayan. And what is even more surprising is that there are a lot of Hindi speaking audiences who have shown an interest in the film,” says Nambi Rajan of Aurora theatre, who is also the distributor of the film. The blockbuster movie has collected more than 7Crores in Chennai alone making it one of the biggest hits of all times of Kollywood.
