Surya’s most expected movie ‘Singam’ shooting has been completed fully. Recently Surya and Anuksha along with crew members has flown to the exotic locations of Dubai along with choreographer Brindha to shot for a song.
As per source the movie dubbing works have already started herein Chennai and will be completed within couple of weeks.
Singam is being produced by Studio Green Productions Gnanavel Raja, uncle of Surya. Prakash Raj does the villian role in the movie and Vivek takes care of the comedy. Devi Sri Prasad has scored music for the film.
Singam is one of the most expected movies of 2010 since Surya is back after hat trick of Box office hits with Vaaranam Aayiram, Ayan and Aadhavan.
Singam will hit the screens in the month of April and it will be the big summer release of Kollywood.

Actress Priyamani has been signed by Ram Gopal Varma to play heroine opposite Surya in his film bilingual Raktha Charithra. The film reportedly will be shot in three different languages Hindi, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
Rakta Charitra film is about the bloody faction fights in Cuddaph region of Andhra, which saw the rise of real life gangsters like Paritala Ravi and Maddelachervu Suri, who later became politicians. Major Ravi is directing a film based on the Kandahar plane hijack incident. Actor Surya has been approached to do the commando role in this film. Major Ravi had earlier directed a film titled Aran that features Jeeva and Mohan Lal in lead roles.
While speaking about this film, he said, “In the year 1999 the Kandahar plane hijack incident shocked the entire globe. Based on this, I have created a fictional plot that is laced with moments which will thrill the audience. Amitabh Bachchan is donning the role of a father of a passenger traveling in this plane. Mohanlal and Surya are donning the role of commandos who retrieve the plane from the hijackers. The shooting of the film is to commence in the month of June or July. Surya has nearly completed his shooting for his upcoming film Singam. Surya and Anuksha along with crew members has flown to the exotic locations of Dubai along with choreographer Brindha to shot for a song.
Within 7 days the 2 duet songs were shot across the exotic locations of Dubai and Muscat with Brindha choreographing them. The original schedule to shoot two duet songs was 10 days, but because of Surya’s dedication the crew was able to complete the songs in 7 days and return to chennai. The entire Singam crew is amazed at Surya’s dedication to work.

Actor Surya won the best Tamil Film actor award at Mathrubhumi Amrita 2010 awards. Surya was named the best actor, for his performance in Aadhavan and Ayan. K.S. Ravikumar was also hosen as the best director for the movie Aadhavan.
National Award winning Priyadarshan’s Kanchivaram got the best Tamil film award while actress Shriya got the best tamil actress award for her role in Thoranai and Kanthaswamy.
Surya has got a good fan base in Kerala and the award just proves it.
